What the system does, piece by piece

uNobo Connect is organised into five pieces: selling and loyalty, payments, age verification, SofIA and the operator panel. Each one with what it does, and what it doesn’t.

Selling and loyalty

Combos, points and, where the architecture allows it, cross-machine cart raise the ticket without a new app and without staff on site.

Suggested selling is configured by the operator from the panel: what’s offered and when. It’s not an autonomous algorithm or "artificial intelligence": it’s a rule you decide.

The cross-machine cart lets a customer pay, in one step, for products from several connected machines at the same site, where the architecture allows it: today, between machines from the same manufacturer; across manufacturers, in development. Points build up per purchase and can be redeemed as payment on the operator’s connected machines.

Payments

Card, wallets and cash coexist depending on what you enable. The customer pays from the browser, nothing to install.

Every sale is tied to its dispensing result: an approved payment isn’t counted as a closed sale until the system confirms what happened at the machine.

Age verification

It’s only for the products that require it: it’s asked when one of them enters the cart, not at the door.

Each purchase with a restricted product opens a new verification from the phone; no credential is stored for the next one. It settles who is buying; which products can be sold, in what format and with what verification method is set by the regulation of each place.

SofIA

SofIA is uNobo Connect’s support layer: it answers the operator’s common questions with the context of their store and equipment, and escalates to a person when needed.

SofIA doesn’t replace human technical support: it gets ahead of it. When an automatic answer isn’t enough, the conversation moves to a person without the operator repeating what they already explained.

Panel

One panel brings together stores, equipment, products, stock, sales, tickets and incidents, at the depth each integration allows.

Seeing which machine is connected, what sold and through which payment method doesn’t require standing in front of the equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Is suggested selling artificial intelligence?

No. The operator configures it from the panel: which products pair up and when they’re offered. The decision is yours, not an autonomous algorithm’s.

Does SofIA also help the end shopper?

Today SofIA supports the operator. Support for the end shopper is being rolled out and isn’t presented as available until it is.
